Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Movie theater prices are crazy these days, so when my kids wanted to go see Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, I had to turn them down. Two adults and four kids take a lot out of your pocket. Thankfully, direct star tv once again was there for me when they started bugging me about it again. In a few simple clicks the entire family was sitting down for a magical movie. Add a couple bowls of popcorn and some kool-aid for the kids, and we had a great family night.
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince is the sixth movie in the series. If you have been following the series then you know all about Harry Potter and his friends Hermione and Ron. These movies have amazed me all the way through with the special effects and great intertwined story lines. They are great for older children and for adults.
In this installment of the series, Harry finds himself in his 6th year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The evil Voldemort has been discovered by the entire wizzarding community and everyone is running scared. On top of all that, Professor Dumbledore has almost figured out a way to destroy Voldemort for good and he, of course, needs Harry’s help. Mix all this with the fact that Harry’s rival student, Draco Malfoy, has been accepted as one of Voldemort’s loyal followers and has been ordered to kill Dumbledore, and you have an exciting tale for the entire family.
This movie had me guessing the entire way through. All the the movies in the series have been great at that. You never know what is around the corner. This movie has made me very anxious to see the next one in the series and see if Harry actually triumphs over Voldemort once and for all.
